Panchakarma Procedures.





 

  1. Vaman (वमन ) - Procedure of medicated emesis, where toxins are removed from the body by controlled vomits. It is useful in kapha predominant disorders , diseases of upper body (various respiratory conditions, frequent cough-cold), certain hormonal disorders like hypothyroidism,PCOD and various skin diseases like psoriasis,eczema.

  2.   Virechan ( विरेचन ) -  This procedure consists of medicated purgation, where toxins are removed from the lower body with the help of controlled laxatives. It is useful in Pitta predominant disorders , hyperacidity ,urticaria,psoriasis,fungal infections

  3.   Basti ( बस्ति ) - .Basti is a procedure of medicated enemas, where various medicated oils, ghee, decoctions (kadhas), even milk decoctions are administered via anal route. This helps to pacify vata dosha. It is used in various degenrative disorders like osteoarthritis (knee pain,lumbar pain) Rheumatoid arthritis, gout, hair fall.

  4.  Nasya ( नस्य ) - In this procedure, medicines are given via nasal route. it is helpful in various neurological disorders, parkinsons, recurrent headaches, allergic cough-cold, hair fall ,

  5.  Shirodhara ( शिरोधारा ) - Shira means Head and Dhara means steam of liquid. In this procedure the head is soaked with a stream of liquid chosen as per choice which helps to calm the mind and body. It helps to manage stress, eye disorders , hair fall and various neurological disorders.

  6.  Leech therapy (लीच म्हणजेच जळू लावणे )

  7.   Raktamokshan (रक्तमोक्षण )

  8.  Agnikarma  ( अग्निकर्म ) 

  9. Netra Tarpanam -  (नेत्र तर्पण )
