*Holi tips for Skin & hair*
The nation is gearing up to celebrate one of their most loved festivals, Holi.
Also called the festival of colours, Holi is one of the most widely celebrated festivals of the subcontinent.
We have all the tips and tricks you would need for your beauty needs.

1. Hair-care
◆On the day of Holi, make sure you massage or oil your hair from the roots with coconut oil
◆ Tie your hair in a braid or bun to avoid maximum damage.Brush off the dry colors that must have been accumulated in your hair. Stand under running water for 10 minutes and let the colors wash off from your hair.
Gentle rub on the scalp is good to loosen up the formation of clots blocking the pores.
To get rid of wet colors, first rinse hair thoroughly with cold water . You can then apply a homemade mask..
1/2 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. coconut oil,
1 tsp honey
1 tsp yogurt.
Make a fine paste by blending all ingredients, apply it on your scalp and hair and leave it for an hour. Then, wash it off. This will deeply condition your hair. Use natural cleanser shikakai.ritha.

2. Skin Protection
◆On the day of Holi, make sure you apply almond oil all over your body. Especially, on the parts that are most exposed. Oiling the skin prevents colours from sticking to the body, and makes it easier to rinse off the colours post the play. In addition to this, almond oil is also a rich source of vitamin E and provides nourishment to the skin.
◆Face masks
You can use chandan + dahi face mask.
Chandan + cucumber juice face mask works best on colour allergies.
Aloevera gel is also useful for cooling effect.
Avoid using soaps or face-wash as they are alkaline in nature and will dry your skin more.
Using banana peel - you can rub inner surface of banana peel to remove excess colour.
